2027 dates released !
First of our 2027 dates are now out. More next week. 2028 dates to follow in December. Exped medic wanting to up- skill and achieve certifications endorsed by the sector leading professional organisations ? First exped medic job next year ? Wanting to improve your med skills for 2027 ?

Join us on our unique and professionally endorsed or certified training modules.
We are the first and only organisation, globally, to have multiple courses/ programme modules independently tested, assessed, audited and endorsed by the Faculty of Pre Hospital Care of The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

This accords with our professional level training. We’re transparent, deliver to high standards, have professional quality assurance and instructor training (including in educational delivery) in place and have hand picked Faculty members with exceptional contextual experience, qualifications and teaching ability.

We operate a professional level Quality Assurance programme delivered by qualified and experienced Quality Assurers with appropriate medical qualifications.

All Faculty have to undergo training to deliver each of our specific courses and have to complete annual teaching assessments to remain eligible to teach for us.
Faculty only teach remote, austere, wilderness medicine for us.

Our Faculty are experienced, qualified and current.

Training is delivered at our International Centre for Remote Area Risk And Medicine, based at the National Outdoor Centre : Plas y Brenin.
Our courses are delivered to delegates, coming from across the Globe. They are used by delegates who are professional users : operating on every continent, every environment.
We know the training works - we get the field reports.

More dates and confirmations of provisional dates will follow over the next week or so (including for our sector leading Ultrasound courses, dental, more prolonged field care, comms and Off Site Safety Management Courses).
We are independent of any kit manufacturer and do not enter into equipment partnerships. We recommend kit that works. That is an important feature of what we do. We review and test kit. We have no commercial ties.
Delegates use kit on our courses that works. That is the only criteria. They are exposed to kit from multiple manufacturers.
As UK leaders in our field at professional level, we are regularly invited to contribute to leading texts, eg the Oxford Handbook of Expedition and Wilderness Medicine, as well as research studies (we are currently working with 3 different Universities, including in PhD studies where our programmes are being studied by way of providing input as well as training delivery to multiple Universities - for other organisations such as Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, we’ve assisted them by developing content for one of the modules on their Professional Diplomas in Tropical & Travel Health) and conferences eg Liverpool school of Tropical Medicine, Royal Geographical Society Explore Conference and The National Outdoor Centre Expedition Symposium.

Future news:
In a significant expansion, to meet demand, we are also rolling out 6 new UK based courses (several tied in with research programmes our Institute of Remote Area Risk And Medicine is undertaking) in 2027/28 - addressing what we perceive as significant unaddressed learning needs in our sectors - Expedition, Exploration, NGO, Humanitarian, SAR, Disaster Response, Media Safety, Field Safety and Outdoors - keep an eye out on our social media. In addition, a number of overseas training opportunities are on the horizon. More news very soon 😉.
2028 course dates will also follow in December.
Bookings will start to open 1 December 2026. Please see each web page for details of dates and when bookings open. When courses open for bookings, a booking pack for that specific course date will appear on the course web site. Please do not use booking forms from another course dates as we are unable to process them.
The website will be updated with details over the next week.
All of our courses are stand alone modules. Many are also modules on longer programmes.
