‘This Course has been endorsed by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. The Course complies with the teaching and educational standards of

the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care.’

Setting the Professional standards in Remote, Austere and Wilderness Medicine.

Gold standard, endorsed, seal of approval, whatever metaphor you may wish to use.

In a sector first, we’re delighted to announce that, after concluding a robust, forensic and thorough process lasting in excess of a year, the specialist, globally respected and renowned Faculty of Pre Hospital Care at the Royal College of Surgeon’s, Edinburgh, has endorsed our long - standing, tried and tested, Remote | Austere | Wilderness: Wound Care Course- designed for those operating in remote area clinics, out of backpacks in the fields or with limited resources in remote, austere and wilderness settings - whether it be expedition, exploration, fieldwork, NGO, Humanitarian, Disaster Response, Search and Rescue and emergency services.

Certificates will bear the FPHC RCS (Edin) logo.

Why is this important?

Our courses are professional level courses, delivered by our expert Faculty, with course alumni going on to operate on every continent, in every environment. Civilian and military.

We don’t believe in marking our own home work - any establishment can write its own course and self accredit. Peer review, and challenge by those with highly relevant expertise and experience has a distinct value.

We did just that.

Endorsement by a Royal College following an expert review process has a value.

Endorsement by the Faculty of Pre Hospital Care no less.

This course joins our;

✅ Prolonged Field Care Course and;

✅ Remote | Austere | Wilderness: Point of Care Ultrasound course

… as courses endorsed by the FPHC, RCS (Edin).

The only courses of their kind endorsed by FPHC.

Long established, for years, the FPHC has set the standards in our sectors. It’s their documents that are waved round as evidence of good practice.

This was a robust process.

Importantly, the assessment was undertaken by those with highly relevant contextual expertise, experience and interest in Wound Care.

Our policies, procedures, slides, materials, assessments, exams, skill stations, documentation, equipment, venues, feedback capture and course review processes were reviewed, CV’s scrutinised, courses attended, forensically scrutinised, references scrutinised, Faculty scrutinised and delivery assessed.

Endorsement of both content and delivery has been confirmed.

The course is a stand alone course but also one of 7 modules on our globally unique, 6 module, 16 day face to face, c 380 hour

R/EMO:TE Medic Programme (plus recommended additional Dentistry course).
