// Risk Assessment

At R2Ri, we understand that Risk Assessment underpins everything that our clients do in remote areas. To assist in developing staff and allowing them to develop and evidence competency, we deliver Risk Assessment Courses at Level 3 on the UK national Framework. These courses are logical add ons/extensions to the Off Site Safety Management courses but are also very useful as stand alone courses, to evidence competence in the Risk Assessment methodology.

The Level 3 Risk Assessment course can be delivered as a one day addition to the Off Site Safety Management course (with post course work) given that the balance of the Risk Assessment course is covered during the Off Site Safety Management course.

Course:

We deliver the QNUK Level 3 Award in Workplace Risk Assessment (RQF), qualification accreditation number 603/0713/4.

This qualification is aimed at those looking to develop the competencies to be able to undertake suitable and sufficient risk assessments of workplace health and safety issues. Learners are assessed in undertaking a risk assessment and reporting their findings. For further information please follow the link to the course specification.

The course is assessed by way of a multi choice exam and then delegates will produce a Risk Assessment and Report after the course and submit this for assessment.

Pre-Requisites: This qualification is available to those over 16 years. Candidates should be at least a level 2 numeracy and literacy or equivalent. Delegates MUST have attended the preceding two days Off Site Safety Management course with us to attend this course.

Whilst this 1 day  bolt on course and post classroom submission will cover more traditional premises based workplaces as an assessment task, the full 3 course will have an emphasis towards remote area, expedition, outdoor activities and field work - the outdoor or expeditionary work place. Necessarily, the course (combined with the preceding Off Site Safety Management Course 2 days) will cover legislation, relevant UK and international outdoor, off site, expedition and fieldwork safety standards, dynamic risk assessments and more. There will be plenty of outdoor, adventure travel, expedition and fieldwork case studies.

Our instructors all have extensive Health and Safety experience and certifications. They have years in the field of remote area safety.
