Outdoor Activity Sector

The R2Ri team have trained numerous clients operating in the Outdoor Activity sector, from outdoor practitioners, instructors, survival instructors, expedition leaders in the fields of safety, crisis response, Off-Site Safety Management, Wilderness Medical, Survival, water safety, communications and much more.

Team members include Outdoor instructors, Mountain Leaders, Outdoor Education Advisers,  D of E instructors and Assessors, Leave No Trace instructors, Canoeing instructors, Survival and Outdoor first aid instructors to name but a few. Even our Doctor was an Outdoor Instructor before studying medicine!

We have team members who have worked in senior positions at D of E itself, outdoor activity centres, adventure travel and outdoor activity providers as well as senior professional advisors to the sector - one of our team, whilst in private practice as a Solicitor, was the "go to" person for outdoor activity providers, expedition companies and adventure travel companies in the UK - we know the field.

Team members have lectured on numerous occasions at outdoor activity sector conferences at the invitation of the UK British Mountaineering Council, Mountain Training Association, Expedition related conferences at Plas Y Brenin and many more conferences as invited subject matter experts and have had arcticles on crisis response and investigations published in the UK Institute of Outdoor Learning magazine.

Team members represented adventure travel and expedition related sector bodies in the IOL consultation on first aid training.

"Extremely worthwhile, it gave me the tools and knowledge to understand how to protect myself while working outdoors, and improve my understanding of correct protocols to follow to get myself and the group out of dangerous and potentially hazardous situations. The use of direct examples, and extensive knowledge of the man running the course helped cement the information, and give the information more meaning."

"R2Ri presented an OSSM course I attended recently. Their instructor has an engaging manner and wealth of key experience, making the course informative, approachable and enjoyable. Highly recommended."
